Fraudulent Job Offer Information
Acceleron is aware that some job seekers have received false employment offers or recruitment emails from an individual or organization posing as Acceleron. Individuals or organizations sending these false employment offers may request your personal information or funds to continue through the recruitment process.
Please be aware that Acceleron will not request passport details, financial information, or money from job seekers. Individuals who receive an offer of employment from Acceleron are always required to go through a formal recruitment process, which includes multiple in person or video conference interviews with a member of our recruitment team and the person’s direct manager.
If you receive an email message from someone claiming to be from Acceleron regarding a position, please check the email address and confirm it includes an official @xlrn.com or acceleronpharma.com domain name. Be aware that sometimes fraudsters may use names of real people at Acceleron and create fake websites and marketing materials that look very similar to the company’s genuine website. If you have any questions about whether an inquiry you received from someone purporting to be from Acceleron is genuine, please email us at HRinquiry@xlrn.com.
If you feel that you have been a potential victim of an employment application scam, you may submit a formal complaint with the FBI Internet Crimes Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov and/or with the Federal Trade Commission at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov
